New Mac?
Open Settings, Pro on the old Mac and choose Deactivate This Mac, then enter the key on the new one.
Moving notes?
Back Up All Notes, then Restore from Backup on the other Mac. It is free.

About PixoNotes
- What is PixoNotes?
- A native Mac app for writing things down fast: coloured stickies on the desktop, a Trello-style board of changeable columns, a menu bar drop-down, and a scratchpad for notes and code. Every card is a note, and any note can also sit on the desktop.
- Which Macs can run PixoNotes?
- Macs with Apple Silicon running macOS 26 or later. The AI buttons also need Apple Intelligence, turned on in System Settings. Everything else works without it.
- Is a sticky different from a card?
- No. A sticky is a note that is also on your desktop. Closing a sticky takes it off the desktop, and the note stays on its board. Deleting is a separate action.
- How are my notes stored?
- As plain text on your Mac. Formatting marks stay visible, dimmed, so what you see is what you copy, and nothing is locked in.
- Is there an iPhone, iPad, Windows or web version?
- No. PixoNotes is a Mac app. There are no team or sharing features either.

Pro and your licence
- What is free?
- Everything for writing: notes, code, every copy format, 2 boards with any number of columns, and 5 stickies on the desktop at once. Export and backup are free too.
- What does Pro add?
- Sync across your Macs, unlimited boards, unlimited stickies, Apple Intelligence on notes, and text tools such as Format JSON and Sort Lines.
- How much is Pro?
- $2.99 a month or $19.90 a year, which saves 44%. Both are the same Pro, on 3 Macs.
- Is there a trial or a lifetime plan?
- No. The free plan has no time limit, so it is how you try PixoNotes. Pro is a subscription, monthly or yearly.
- How many Macs can I use Pro on?
- 3 at once. To move Pro, open Settings, Pro on the old Mac and choose Deactivate This Mac, then enter the key on the new one.
- What happens if Pro ends?
- PixoNotes goes back to the free plan and hides nothing. Your notes, boards and stickies stay where they are.
- Where is my licence key?
- In the email from our payment provider, Polar, after you buy. Paste it into PixoNotes, Settings, Pro. You can also find it, and your invoices, from the licence link on this site.
- Can I get a refund?
- Yes. Write to us within 30 days of buying and we will refund you.
Privacy
Your notes
- Do I need an account?
- No. There is no PixoNotes account and no server of ours. The app sends no telemetry. If you buy Pro, our payment provider handles the purchase and gives you a licence key.
- How does sync work?
- Through a folder you own: iCloud Drive by default, or any folder. Each note is one small file, the newest edit wins, and deletions travel too. Sync is part of Pro.
- What if I delete something by mistake?
- ⌘Z undoes moves, deletes and changes, and Recently Deleted keeps notes for 30 days. PixoNotes also keeps daily backups for two weeks.
